How much does it cost?
The event is free for spectators, rafters pay £5 per team member.
What are the rules about rafts?
They should be of a home-made construction and should not resemble a boat, canoe or catamaran too closely. Please clean out any barrels prior to use. More rules on the raft entry form. Also see our short video “about the raft race”.
Where are the terms and conditions of entry?

Where does it take place?
On the river Welland, starting at Bridge St, Deepings St James, timing line is at the Boundary Fish & Chip Shop, Bridge St, Deeping St James. Rafts exit the river at The Iron Horse Ranch House, High St, Market Deeping.
What time does it start / finish?
Fun starts from 11am, first race 12.00, all races should be completed by 3.30. Trophy presentations around 4pm in the Market Square.
What else happens on the day?
There are numerous stalls, street food, a funfair, a marching band and other attractions which may vary from year to year.
Where do I park?
We would recommend using the Raft Race car park on Godsey Lane – opposite Tesco, Market Deeping. You may be able to find spaces on the road but please park considerately.
What about the weather?
If it rains the event still goes ahead, it’s all about getting wet and splashed anyway so just bring a brolly and enjoy the fun. If it’s sunny, don’t forget to bring some sun block.
